Northern Electric is a rural electric cooperative serving the power needs of more than 5,000 residential, commercial, and industrial consumers in Brown and Spink Counties in Northeast South Dakota. Commercial and industrial consumers use about half of the electricity distributed by Northern Electric with residential and farm consumers making up the other half.
