Lake Region Golf Club is a public golf course near Lake Poinsett that has received REED financing three times. The first loan helped finance the construction of a new clubhouse and renovation of storage facilities (1997). The second loan was used to expand the course from 9-holes, built in the 1960’s, to 18 holes. Lake Region is one of the only 18-hole rural, nonprofit golf courses in the state (2003). The third loans assisted with upgrades to the clubhouse and grounds (2011).
