Home-buying is not like that at all.
Viewing a home that’s for sale is only a part of the process, and it’s not even the first part.
“What we do, really, is try to make those consumers, those people who are interested in home ownership, more knowledgable about how the process works,” said Jeff Mitchell, director of Homes Are Possible Inc. in Aberdeen. “How to look out for or be aware of things that could be considered predatory lending in the market, because they do exist, they do exist locally.”
