New Hangar Built in Hyde County

Did you know that electric cooperatives have a hand in community development? Members serving members is the motto of Dakota Energy in Huron, SD. Businesses, farmers, homeowners and industrial consumers in more than three counties depend on Dakota Energy to provide dependable and affordable electricity but that isn’t the only way they are helping the community. Next time you see a plane flying overhead near Highmore look to see if it's with NCFE Air, LLC. They are helping local farmers but needed to improve scheduling for aerial spraying. Without close access to an airplane hangar, that was easier said than done. Thanks to a loan issued through REED, the hangar was built at the Highmore, SD, airport and business has picked up.
