Western Consolidated Cooperative used a REED loan to aid in the construction of a 1.1 million bushel grain terminal near Twin Brooks SD, population 69. In addition to the enclosed storage there is a 2.2 million bushel piling system connected to the main terminal. There is also a 10,000 bu/hr grain dryer next to the main terminal. This facility is equipped with a 120' scale, two 1,000 bushel grain pits and two 20,000 bu/hr. unloading legs. There is 80,000 bu/hr. capacity for loading 110-car shuttle trains, which are transported by BNSF Railways. This type of loading capacity with the use of our circle tract is able to load a shuttle train in 7 to 8 hours.
